Azerbaijan’s truck manufacturing surges by over 42%

Azerbaijan produced 290 trucks during the first seven months of 2024, marking an increase of 42% year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

As of August 1, 2024, the country had 62 ready-made products in stock.

In 7 months, Azerbaijan produced machinery and equipment, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers, and other vehicles worth 421.6 million manats (almost $248 million).

Also, 2,524 passenger cars were manufactured in the country from January through July 2024, which is 658 units or 35.3% less than in the corresponding period of 2023. As of August 1, the country had 373 ready-made products in stock.

Moreover, Azerbaijan manufactured 352 tractors in the first seven months of this year, which is 22.1% less than the same period of the previous year. As a result, the country had 11 ready-made products in stock as of August 1.
