Azerbaijan's passenger car production up by 77%

In January-April 2023, Azerbaijan produced machinery and equipment, cars, trailers and semi-trailers, and other vehicles worth 245.4 million manats (roughly $144.3 million), Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

The State Statistical Committee told Report that machinery and equipment production rose by by 23.5%, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers – by 69.2%, and other transport facilities dropped by 27.3.

In the reporting period, 1,259 private vehicles were produced in Azerbaijan, 549 cars or 77.3% more than the same period last year. As of May 1, 2023, the country has stocked 877 finished products.

During the first four months of this year, Azerbaijan produced 293 tractors, 73.4% more than in 2022. As a result, the country had 13 finished products as of May 1, 2023.

Also, in January-April of this year, 145 trucks were produced in Azerbaijan, which is 52.6% more than the same period of 2022. As a result, the country had 9 finished products as of May 1, 2023.
