WADA President: After the meeting with Trump, it became clear that there are people biased against our decisions

Baku. 15 November. REPORT.AZ/ “I express my gratitude to the government of Azerbaijan, the National Anti-Doping Agency, as well as the Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Ragimov for the support in organization of WADA events in Baku,"  President of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Craig Reedy said at a press conference in Baku.

Reedy spoke about the important decisions taken at the meeting of the Board of Founders and the Executive Committee: "This event was very fruitful. WADA carries out a number of activities. The structure has a large workforce. They encourage clean sports. WADA is trying to stop the lies and protect athletes.

Reedy noted that he highly appreciates the work of the National Anti-Doping Agency of Azerbaijan (AMADA): "We have been talking to Minister Azad Ragimov for already a few years. To achieve a high level of sports in Azerbaijan, an Anti-Doping Agency is necessary. We see the development of a newly established local organization. AMADA has a young director who also played a role in development. After that, it is necessary to look forward".

According to Reedy, changes will be made to the structure of WADA. The head of the structure noted that the technical staff will visit the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) on November 28. He also touched upon his recent meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House: "After the meeting with Trump, it became clear that there are people biased against our decisions."
