ISU’s representatives to pay visit to Azerbaijan

Representatives of the International Skating Union (ISU) will visit Azerbaijan to assess the preparations for the Junior Figure Skating Grand Prix, scheduled to be held in Baku in 2025, Gunel Badalova, Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation, told Report.

Badalova mentioned that preparations for the Grand Prix are ongoing:

"The Junior Figure Skating Grand Prix will be held in Baku in 2025. In this regard, the existing infrastructure has been examined. We need to address the areas that require improvement. Before the Grand Prix, representatives of the ISU will come for an inspection. We plan to hold an internal competition in April. Currently, work is underway for both tournaments."

The Grand Prix, which will take place from September 24 to 27 next year, will be the first of its kind in the history of figure skating in Azerbaijan.
