Information about the oxygen tank explosion on the AZAL aircraft was received from the Rostov flight controller at 10:53 local time, the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan said in its clarification regarding the statement about the oxygen tank explosion on the AZAL aircraft, Report informs.
"The Rostov flight controller provided additional information to the Aktau tower flight controller that an oxygen tank had exploded in the passenger cabin of the aircraft, passengers were losing consciousness, and requested resuscitation upon arrival," the ministry notes.
The Ministry of Transport's clarification states that 'based on this information, all rescue services were promptly notified.'
"At the briefing [December 26], the chronology of events was presented based on the reports from the Rostov flight controller," the ministry states.
