Landmine victims in Azerbaijan continue to grow, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said, Report informs.
He said that yet another incident registered and posted an infographic showing the statistics of landmine victims.
According to the infographic, after the end of the Second Karabakh War, 341 citizens of Azerbaijan became victims of landmines. 65 people died and 276 were injured from mine explosions during the specified period.
From November 10, 2020, to December 6, 2023, 50 civilians and 15 soldiers were killed by mines in Azerbaijan. At the same time, 112 civilians and 164 soldiers were injured.
