Slovenia's Kontron and Azerbaijan's BestComp have signed a framework agreement within the Azerbaijan-Slovenia business forum held in Baku, Robert Zlatanov, Sales Director for communication solutions at Kontron, told Report.
"We signed a framework agreement with BestComp, one of the largest system integrators in the region. The document covers cooperation in areas such as telecommunications solutions for railways, industry, oil and gas, and telecommunications sectors," Zlatanov noted.
He added that the agreement envisions long-term cooperation.
"We have been discussing potential projects for a long time and have concluded that there is great market potential. They will purchase our equipment, but we are not just hardware suppliers. Kontron offers a full spectrum of services necessary for project implementation.
BestComp's main contribution will be their deep knowledge of local systems and skilled IT specialists. Our solutions will be integrated into their complex projects - including projects in the railway infrastructure sector. The cooperation covers not only equipment but also the use of applications, platforms, and joint work of experts from both companies," he explained.
According to Zlatanov, the agreement encompasses several promising spheres.
"We have been operating in the Azerbaijani market for more than 20 years, and we have a representative office here. Previously, the company was called Iskratel, but a few years ago it became part of the Kontron group. To date, our activities in Azerbaijan have mainly focused on telecommunications. Now we want to expand our participation in areas such as railways, industry, and the oil and gas sector. In these directions, BestComp is our important and promising partner," he emphasized.
