A Pakistani company is interested in establishing an IT Park in Azerbaijan valued at approximately $50 million, the President of the Pakistan Azerbaijan Economic Cooperation Chamber (PAKAZCHAM), Khurram Bhatti, told Report.
According to him, the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Technology Forum was held in September: "About 40 companies from Pakistan participated in the forum. After the conference, we had interesting discussions with the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, put forward the idea of creating an IT Park and submitted information related to the company to the ministry."
The PAKAZCHAM President said IT Park will become an ecosystem: "In the park, we intend to arrange financing of projects and then connect them with the global market. Our idea is not only to develop the IT industry for Azerbaijan but also to export the products and services that will be created in the IT Park. I think after receiving approval from Azerbaijan, we can move to the business development model. From our side, the investor is ready to start the implementation of the project. Azerbaijan's ambassador to Pakistan plans to meet with the Pakistani investor by the end of this month."
