Azerbaijan starts importing smartphones from Qatar

In 2024, Azerbaijan imported 1,509,802 smartphones worth $440 million, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.
This is 32% more in value terms and 19% more in quantity compared to 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 1,200,754 (+30%) devices worth $336.74 million (+40%) from China, 229,799 devices (-14%) worth $78.8 million (+15%) from Vietnam, 74,658 devices (+0.2%) worth $19.8 million (-10%) from India, 3,225 devices (+58%) worth $3.7 million (+52%) from the US, and 321 devices (+3 times) worth $339,200 (+3 times) from Japan.
Last year, for the first time in 13 years (official statistics on foreign trade in public use date back to 2011), a supply (6 units worth $5,300) was made from Qatar.
