Azerbaijan resumes purchases of smartphones from Czechia

In January-March 2023, Azerbaijan imported 261,918 smartphones (15.5% less year-on-year) for $74.1 million (28% more YoY), Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistics Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 168,735 smartphones (-11.2%) from China for $46.35 million (28% more than a year earlier), 67,207 units (-20%) from Vietnam for $19.12 million (+43%), 25,608 units (-28%) from India for $8.39 million (+9%), 122 units from the Czech Republic for $113,530, and 45 units (+3.2 times) from the US for $43,420 (+2.7 times).

After a break of 1 year and 11 months, Azerbaijan resumed deliveries of smartphones from the Czech Republic.

In 2022, China supplied 59.3% of the 1.144 million smartphones imported to Azerbaijan (from 13 countries).
