Tashkent isn’t currently considering the issue of recognizing the interim Afghan government, it is not on the agenda, Uzbek Deputy Foreign Minister Furkat Siddikov said at a meeting in Tashkent within the expert platform “Establishing Good Neighborly Relations in Central Asia: Pragmatic Foreign Policy of Uzbekistan,” Report informs.
“The recognition of the interim Afghan government by Uzbekistan is not currently being considered,” Siddikov said.
He noted that Uzbekistan is most of all busy with humanitarian issues in Afghanistan.
“In general, we stand for the creation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan,” he added.
