The 34th session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan commenced today in Astana, chaired by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Report informs.
The event brought together members of parliament, diplomats accredited in Kazakhstan, leaders and members of the country's ethno-cultural associations, volunteers, and regional representatives of the Assembly.
Established by presidential order on March 1, 1995, the Assembly serves as an advisory and consultative body under the president. Its primary role is to support the development and implementation of Kazakhstan's national policy. The Assembly is led by President Tokayev and comprises 583 members.
