President Ilham Aliyev meets US special envoy Steve Witkoff in Washington

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with US President’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff in Washington, Report informs.

During the meeting, it was stated that President Aliyev’s working visit to Washington, made at the invitation of US President Donald Trump, created a good opportunity to discuss the bilateral agenda and regional issues.

The discussion covered the prospects for developing strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States, the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and the regional peace agenda.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with US President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff in Washington on August 7, Report informs.

First, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between SOCAR and ExxonMobil with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev and US President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.

The document was signed by Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and ExxonMobil Vice President John Ardill.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev had a meeting with US President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
