Paul Lau Chi Ho: GlobE Network meeting in Baku plays key role in strengthening co-op

The sixth plenary session of the GlobE Network, held in Baku, plays a key role in strengthening cooperation between anti-corruption agencies of different countries, representative of the Independent Commission Against Corruption of Hong Kong (PRC) Paul Lau Chi Ho told journalists during the session, according to Report.

"This platform is a necessity. Of course, we could continue international cooperation in other ways, but without such a structure it would not be so effective. During the plenary session, we have the opportunity to meet in person, exchange experiences, and establish stronger ties," he noted.

Paul Lau Chi Ho emphasized that the GlobE Network also provides a secure communication platform for law enforcement agencies.

"It is very important that we can trust this platform. All communications are encrypted, which is especially important for law enforcement. This makes interaction not only effective, but also safe. We not only benefit from its advantages, but also have the responsibility to share our own knowledge and experience in order to develop this network together with other countries and organizations. That is why we are here," he added.
