Khankandi ready to host ECO summit

On July 3–4, Khankandi will be the center of attention for the entire region as the city is hosting the summit of the leaders of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) for the first time.

This historic event marks a radical turn in the fate of the city, which has experienced occupation and wars over the past 30 years.

Holding a forum of such a high level will not only be a diplomatic event, but a powerful symbol of Khankandi’s rapid post-war revival and its emergence on the international arena as a new platform for peace, development, and strategic partnership.

The ECO, which unites ten countries in the region, did not choose Khankandi by chance. This choice underscores the recognition by the international community of the successes in the restoration of the city and its growing importance as a regional center.
