Khalid Al-Ghaith: Society must be built on mutual respect

Khalid Al-Ghaith, secretary general of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, has called for a society based on the principle of mutual respect, according to Report.

Speaking at an international scientific conference on the topic "Islamophobia in Focus: Unveiling Bias, Shattering Stigmas," he noted that the committee adheres to the simple idea that all people are equal, and every person, regardless of religion, origin or social status, deserves to live in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and respect.

"We [in the committee] implement programs aimed at strengthening trust in communities. In schools, we support educational initiatives that teach children respect and acceptance of diversity. In Europe, we are implementing leadership projects aimed at forming a new generation of advocates for inclusion," Al-Ghaith said.

The secretary-general singled out the importance of culture and art in strengthening unity, and also stressed the importance of working with governments and international organizations to develop policies that help build sustainable and peaceful communities.

"Our goal is not just to achieve tolerance, but to build a society where people truly live together in respect. This is the essence of human fraternity. Transforming good intentions into real change is our task," he said.
