The Italian Embassy in Baku has lowered its flag in observance of Azerbaijan's day of mourning, paying tribute to the victims of the recent AZAL passenger plane crash near the Kazakhstani city of Aktau, Report informs.
According to a statement on the embassy's official social media page, this gesture is a sign of solidarity with the people of Azerbaijan during this tragic time.
"Flags at half-mast at the Italian Embassy in Baku in solidarity with the people of Azerbaijan. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the tragic flight accident and with their families," the post reads.
