The IV session of the UN Permanent Forum for People of African Descent began today at the UN headquarters in New York with an international conference titled Decolonization: Silent Revolution, initiated and organized by the Baku Initiative Group, Report informs.
The conference was moderated by Abbas Abbasov, executive director of the Baku Initiative Group.
The conference was attended by leaders and members of national resistance movements operating in overseas territories - Guadeloupe, Martinique, Kanaky (New Caledonia), Saint Martin, Reunion, Bonaire, Aruba, Maohi Nui (French Polynesia), French Guiana, representatives of the International Decolonization Front, human rights defenders, politicians, experts on decolonization, including representatives from former French colonies.
This international conference has been registered as a UN event.
