Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the special representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, Igor Khovaev, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues, including Azerbaijan-Russia bilateral relations, work done within regional platforms, the current situation and prospects of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the current situation in the region, and recent developments.
Bayramov talked about the negotiation process between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the draft peace agreement. The minister also pointed out that the ongoing claims against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the Armenian constitution and other legislative acts are the main obstacle within the process.
During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also exchanged.
