Assistant secretary of commerce: US supports Middle Corridor development

The US supports the development of the Middle Corridor, Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets and Director General of the US and Foreign Commercial Service Arun Venkataraman told journalists, Report informs.

He noted that the development of this corridor will help expand trade cooperation and improve the lives of people in the countries participating in this project.

Arun Venkataraman noted that the US companies are ready to share their experience in this area.

The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route was created in February 2014 with the participation of the relevant structures of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Georgia. Subsequently, Ukraine, Romania and Poland joined the project. Currently, the route runs from the Chinese-Kazakh border through Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan and Georgia to Europe.
