The Armenian Foreign Ministry has commented on Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu's statement on the normalization of relations between Ankara and Yerevan.
According to Report, the Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Vahan Hunanyan said that Yerevan would appoint a special envoy to start a dialogue with Turkey.
"Armenia, as always, is ready for the process of normalizing relations with Turkey without preconditions, which is fixed in the program of the Armenian government. In this regard, we positively assess the statement of the Turkish Foreign Minister on the appointment of a special representative," an Armenian official said.
Cavusoglu said in a speech to parliament yesterday that Ankara would appoint a special envoy to normalize ties with Armenia.
