Ambassador: Signing Baku-Yerevan peace treaty to open new opportunities for region

The signing of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia will open up new opportunities for the entire region, Ambassador of Morocco to Azerbaijan Adil Embarch said during a visit to Khankandi, Report informs.

He noted that Rabat is following the progress in the negotiations between the two countries with satisfaction.

"We hope that the agreement will be signed in the near future. This will open up new opportunities not only for Azerbaijan and Armenia, but also for the entire region. If necessary, Morocco is ready to provide support to brotherly Azerbaijan. We look forward to the progress of this process," Embarch said.

The diplomat also shared his impressions of the trip to Khankandi, thanking the Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan for organizing the visit.

"This is our first visit to Khankandi. A very interesting trip. One of the first places we visited was the university - and this underlines the importance of investing in education and human capital," the ambassador added.
