Barcelona signs Azerbaijani footballer for first time

For the first time in its history, Spanish football giant FC Barcelona has signed a contract with an Azerbaijani player.

According to Report, the news was shared via the club's official social media channels.

Football player Ibrahim Babayev will join Barcelona's U17 youth team. Prior to this move, Babayev was part of the Swiss club Servette FC.

The signing ceremony was attended by Barcelona board member and youth football director Joan Soler Ferre and renowned Spanish footballer and four-time national champion with Barcelona José Ramón Alexanco.
