Gold prices rise for third trading day in row

The price of gold is growing on July 11 morning, continuing the dynamics of the previous two trading days, Report informs referring to exchange data.

The price of August gold futures on the New York Comex exchange rose by $22.22 compared to the previous close, or by 0.67%, to $3,347.92 per troy ounce. In total, based on the results of trading on Wednesday and Thursday, the quotes of the precious metal rose by 0.51%.

September silver futures rose by 2.47% to $38.228 per ounce. Investors are assessing the situation regarding the introduction of import duties by the United States.

Donald Trump said on Friday that the US will impose a 35% duty on imports of goods from Canada from August 1, while previously introduced sectoral tariffs will remain in force.
