Azerbaijan's state budget surplus nearly double

In the first quarter of 2025, the revenues of the Azerbaijani state budget amounted to 9.73 billion manats ($5.72 billion), while expenditures amounted to 8.12 billion manats ($4.78 billion), according to the Ministry of Finance, Report informs.
This is 5.4% more and 1.6% less than the same period last year, respectively.
During the mentioned period, revenues were executed by 101.8%, and expenditures by 98%.
As a result, the budget had a surplus of 1.62 billion manats ($952.9 million), which is 97% more than a year ago.
"In January-March, treasury authorities executed more than 320,000 payment orders and over-executed budget revenues. The under-execution of budget expenditures is due to the fewer working days in March," said the ministry.
