The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) may pause monetary policy tightening at least until September of this year, Report informs.
“The CBA will make its further decisions on monetary policy taking into account the internal and external inflation risks, actual and expected inflation deviation from the target, after which it will deeply analyze the inflation factors, and adequately use all the tools at its disposal to return the inflation to the target framework through monetary conditions. In the case of continuous easing of inflationary pressures, the Bank will review the possibility of pausing monetary policy tightening at least until September of the current year, and easing it in the further stages,” CBA said.
