Azerbaijan increases currency reserves by over 4% year-on-year

As of January 1, 2022, the currency stocks of Azerbaijan stood at $52,100.5 million, Report informs.
Of this, 86.4% or $45,025.1 million belonged to the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ), 13.6% or $7,075.4 million – to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
In the fourth quarter of 2021, the currency reserves increased by $840.3 million or 1.6%. SOFAZ’s reserves rose by $798.7 million or 1.8%, while the CBA’s stocks went up $41.6 million or 0.6%.
Year-on-year, the foreign exchange reserves grew by $2,166.8 million or 4.3%. SOFAZ’s reserves increased by $1,460.8 million or 3.4%, CBA stocks rose by $706 million or 11.1%.
