Azerbaijan doubles beverage production

Azerbaijan produced 27,245,900 decaliters of beverage in January-May 2023, up 97.8% from a year earlier, Report informs, with reference to the State Statistical Committee (SSC).

In the reporting period, 2,822,100 decaliters of alcoholic drinks were produced in the country (+28.7%). Vodka production increased by 16.4% to 529,600 decaliters, whiskey-cognac surged by 7.4 times to 80,200 decaliters, grape wine soared 73.6% to 467,900 decaliters, and beer surged 19.7% to 1,744,400 decaliters.

Soft drinks production rose 19.6% to 15,536,600 decaliters.

As of June 1, the finished products on alcoholic drinks were 1,515,300 decaliters, and on soft drinks – 1,352,100 decaliters.
