Azerbaijan entered the top ten largest investors in Bishkek in 2024, taking 6th place with a direct investment volume of $29.9 million, Report informs referring to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
The top five largest investors included Russia ($121.2 million), Luxembourg ($76.4 million), Türkiye ($51.3 million), the Netherlands ($42.2 million) and Kazakhstan ($37.3 million).
Following Azerbaijan in the ranking are Uzbekistan ($18.6 million), the US ($14.6 million), Switzerland ($10.4 million) and China ($10.1 million).
In total, in 2024, Bishkek attracted $461.6 million in foreign direct investment, with about 70% of it being reinvested profit.
