Turkmenistan eyes increasing urea capacity through foreign investment

Reconstruction is planned at the Tejenkarbamid plant in Turkmenistan to increase production capacity, Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister Charymurad Purchekov said while speaking about the plans to modernize the enterprises of the Turkmenhimiya State Concern, Report informs.
He said that locally produced urea fertilizers not only meet the domestic needs of the country but are also exported. To increase the supply of these products to foreign markets, technological upgrades of the industry are envisaged with the attraction of foreign investment.
In particular, foreign businessmen are offering investments for the re-equipment of the Tejenkarbamid plant, which will be returned at the expense of finished products, Purchekov added.
