SOCAR Polymer gets 2.5-fold growth in exports in 2021

In 2021, SOCAR Polymer exported goods worth $252.2 million, up 147% from the previous year, Report informs, citing SOCAR.

In the reporting period, 9.3% of the non-oil exports across the country fell to the share of SOCAR Polymer.

SOCAR Polymer has a Polypropylene Plant with an annual production capacity of 184,000 tons. The plant was inaugurated on June 18, 2018, with the participation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Italy Sergio Mattarella. Exports of polypropylene began on October 5 of the same year.
