OPEC: Azerbaijan became global center for constructive dialogue on energy

Azerbaijan has become a global platform for constructive dialogue on key energy issues, OPEC Secretary General Haitham al-Ghais noted in his letter to future participants of the 30th anniversary Baku Energy Forum, which will be held on June 4-5 as part of the Baku Energy Week, Report informs via Iteca Caspian.
He noted that Azerbaijan's role in international energy processes was especially noticeable within the UN Climate Change Conference COP29.
"Azerbaijan, an important participant in the Declaration of Cooperation (DoC) between OPEC and non-OPEC producers, has become a global center for constructive dialogue on key energy issues. This was clearly demonstrated at COP29 and will undoubtedly be emphasized again at the 30th Baku Energy Forum, which occupies an important place in the region's energy calendar," reads the message.
Baku Energy Week is supported by Azerbaijan's Energy Ministry, and the general partner is SOCAR.
