Oil refining in Azerbaijan grows by 9% this year

In January-May 2023, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) processed 2.5 million tons of oil, Report informs, citing the country’s Energy Ministry.

Oil refining increased by 373,000 tons or 8.7% compared to the same period last year.

The Heydar Aliyev Refinery of SOCAR is the only refinery complex in the region and provides most of Azerbaijan's fuel demand.
