Oil production volumes at Absheron field revealed

This year, 140,000 tons of oil (including condensate) were produced at the Absheron gas condensate field in the Caspian Sea, Report informs referring to the operational data of the Energy Ministry for nine months.

In general, in January-September this year, 22.7 million tons of oil (including condensate) were produced in Azerbaijan. This is 1.8 million tons or 7.3% less than in the same period in 2022.

Some 13.5 million tons of all oil production in the republic accounted for the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block of fields, and 3.3 million tons (of condensate) for Shah Deniz. Production at ACG decreased by 1.9 million tons or 12.34% year-on-year, while at Shah Deniz it remained at last year’s level.

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 5.8 million tons of oil (including condensate) in January-September of this year, which coincides with the production figure for the same period last year.
