Green energy accounts for 15% of Azerbaijan’s electricity generation

In the first half of 2024, the share of green energy in electricity generation reached 15% in Azerbaijan, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said on X, Report informs.
According to operational data for the first half of 2024, electricity production was 13.557 billion kWh, exports 444 million kWh and imports 96.4 million kWh.
During the first half of 2024, electricity production from TPPs in the country amounted to 11.53 billion kWh, while electricity production from renewable sources, including hydropower, increased by 950.7 million kWh to 2.032 billion kWh.
