Germany increases oil purchases from Azerbaijan by nearly 14%

In January-May 2025, Azerbaijan exported 501,232.64 tons of crude oil to Germany for $277.01 million, Report informs, citing the country's State Customs Committee.

The quantity of exported product is 13.7% more compared to the first 5 months of 2024, while the value is 5.7% less.

The share of crude oil exported to Germany in Azerbaijan's total oil exports was 4.84%.

According to customs declarations, in January-May 2025, Azerbaijan exported 10.363 million tons of crude oil and oil products obtained from bituminous rocks worth $5.64 billion.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations worth $20.966 billion with other countries. Of the foreign trade turnover, $11 billion accounted for exports, while $9.96 billion accounted for imports.
