Azerbaijan’s polypropylene exports up by nearly 25%

In January-April 2025, Azerbaijan exported just over 14,944 tons of polypropylene in primary forms, valued at approximately $17.9 million, according to customs declarations, Report informs, citing the country’s State Customs Committee.

This represents a 24.8% decrease in volume and a 15.4% drop in value of exports compared to the same period in 2024.

Polypropylene accounted for 1.67% of Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector exports and 0.2% of the country's total exports.

Overall, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with other countries worth $16.917 billion in the first four months of 2025. Of that, $8.785 billion fell to exports and $8.133 billion fell to imports. During this period, exports increased by 7.5 percent, while imports grew by 48.8 percent.
