Azerbaijan posts decline in electricity generation

Azerbaijan’s electricity generation amounted to 9,248.6 million kWh in January-April 2024, down 603.5 million kWh or 6.1% from same period of 2023, Report informs, citing Ministry of Energy.
In April alone, the country generated 2,108.5 million kWh of electricity, representing an increase of 12.6 million kWh or 0.6% from the corresponding month of the previous year.
Meanwhile, in the first four months of 2023, Azerbaijan’s electricity generation was 9,852.1 million kWh, while in April of the same year, the figure stood at 2,095.9 million kWh.
