Azerbaijan posts over 17% growth in gas exports to Türkiye

In January-July 2023, Azerbaijan exported 6,064,180,000 cubic meters of gas to Türkiye, up 17.5% from the previous year, Report informs, citing Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

In July alone, the gas exports from Azerbaijan to Türkiye made up 883.5 million cubic meters, up 24.44% from a year earlier.

Thus, Azerbaijan ranked second among the countries supplying gas to Türkiye, with a share of 29.1% in the country’s gas market.

In July, Türkiye imported 3,030.96 million cubic meters of gas in total, showing an 11.5% decline compared to the same period in 2022.

In July, Russia ranked first with the export of 1,664.26 million cubic meters of gas to Türkiye, which is 14.92% more than a year ago.

Algeria ranked third with the export of 483.18 million cubic meters of gas, up 26.22 % from July 2022.
