Azerbaijan increases oil refining by nearly 5%

In January-August 2024, about 4.4 million tons of oil were processed in Azerbaijan, Report informs , citing the country's Energy Ministry.
In the first 8 months of 2023, the volumes of oil refining in Azerbaijan increased by 0.2 million tons or 4.8% year-on-year.
In January-August 2023, oil processing in the country amounted to 4.2 million tons.
The Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery (NEZ) of SOCAR, as the only oil refinery in the region, supplies Azerbaijan with fuel products such as RON-92, diesel and jet fuel, and also supplies SOCAR's petrochemical enterprises in Azerbaijan with raw materials.
