Azerbaijan increases fuel oil output over 56 times in 5 months

In the first five months of this year, Azerbaijan increased the production of fuel oil by 56.6 times compared to last year's figure - up to 56,600 tons, Report informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

In general, during the reporting period, the total cost of oil product output in Azerbaijan amounted to 2.36 billion manats ($1.388 billion). This is 5.2% less than in the same period of the previous year.

The production of motor gasoline reached 549,300 tons, which is 10.7% less than in the first five months of 2024. The country also produced 938,000 tons of diesel fuel (4.3% less), 15,000 tons of lubricating oils (45.8% less), 87,600 tons of petroleum bitumen (7.1%). Also, during the reporting period, 92,600 tons of liquefied gases, 266,800 tons of kerosene, 84,700 tons of petroleum coke were produced in the country.

Over the past year, the production of liquefied gases in Azerbaijan increased by 12.2%, the production of petroleum coke decreased by 12%, and the production of kerosene - by 0.3%.
