Azerbaijan begins importing electricity meters from Slovakia

In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan imported 254,694 electricity meters worth $7.7 million, marking a 26% decline in volume and a 20% decrease in value year-on-year, Report informs, referring to the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased electricity meters from:
- China - 120,183 units (-5%) worth $5.5 million (-25%);
- Türkiye - 134,222 units (-38%) worth $2.2 million (+0.3%);
- Italy - 77 units (-67%) worth $10,700 (-78%);
- Russia - 131 units (-46%) worth $10,300 (-65%);
- the United States - 2 units (-87%) worth $5,500 (-49%).
In 2024, Azerbaijan imported an electricity meter from Slovakia (1 unit worth $170) for the first time in 13 years.
