Azerbaijan develops program on forest restoration in liberated areas

“During the occupation, more than 54,000 hectares of forest were destroyed. A reforestation program has been developed, and we are able to speed up reforestation. Of course, this process must be coordinated with the demining plan,” the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Mukhtar Babayev, told a public hearing themed “Tackling the Threat of Landmines: The Impact of Explosives on the Ecosystem” held at the Milli Majlis (Parliament), Report informs.
According to him, this work has already been started in the cleared areas in the Zangilan, Jabrayil, and Fuzuli districts.
