Kamran Aliyev: Search for missing persons in Azerbaijan expanded after anti-terrorist measures

After local anti-terrorist measures, the search for missing persons during the First Karabakh War was intensified in Azerbaijan, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev told the Ankara bureau of Report.

He noted that the search for the missing continues: “Currently, work is underway in this direction.”

The prosecutor-general emphasized that Azerbaijan had previously repeatedly demanded from the Armenian leadership a map of mass grave sites of missing persons.

“But they either didn’t provide maps or gave incorrect information. Now these territories are completely liberated from occupation. The relevant government bodies and the military prosecutor’s office are already working on the search for the missing,” said Kamran Aliyev.

The delegation led by the prosecutor-general of Azerbaijan is in Ankara to participate in the second meeting of the Council of Prosecutors General of the countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
