Memory of Khojaly genocide victims honored at Azerbaijan's House in Krakow

A memorial ceremony dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the Khojaly genocide has been organized at the recently opened House of Azerbaijan in Krakow, Report informs.

The ceremony was attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Poland Nargiz Gurbanova, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov, as well as representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora, local public and various communities operating in Poland.

First, the participants of the event honored the memory of those killed in Khojaly with a minute of silence. Then an acquaintance took place with a photo exhibition reflecting the monstrous massacre committed in Khojaly, carnations were laid on the portraits of the victims of the genocide, and candles were lit near them.

Visitors to the exhibition were informed in detail about the tragedy, in particular, that the Khojaly genocide, during which 613 civilians of Khojaly, including 63 children, 106 women and 70 elderly, were brutally killed in one night, and eight families were massacred, is part of the policy of ethnic cleansing carried out by Armenia against the Azerbaijani people.

There are 28 Azerbaijani Houses operating in 16 countries, and they conduct numerous events to promote Azerbaijani culture and convey information about the country to the world community.
