Vice minister: Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan eye deepening cultural co-op

Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are fraternal countries with a common culture, history and traditions, Kazakh Vice Minister of Culture and Sports Nurkisa Daueshov told Report.

“I want to congratulate the Azerbaijanis on the fact that Shusha was elected the cultural capital of the Turkic countries in 2023. This is very natural, this is our common culture, I think next year we will have many cultural events in Shusha,” he said.

The vice minister added that as part of the extraordinary meeting of the TURKSOY Permanent Council in Bursa on March 31, he met with Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Anar Karimov.

“We agreed on further cooperation in the field of culture. Of course, we already have close ties, but we will make efforts to further strengthen them. Thus, our artists visited Azerbaijan on tour. Azerbaijani artists also visited Kazakhstan,” Daueshov said.
