According to Shahbazov, the second initiative related to green energy is aimed to increase the installed capacity of energy storage systems by 6 times to reach 1.5 gigawatts by 2030: "This collective target also includes elements such as promoting investments in storage systems and application of new technologies."

The minister said that another component of the initiative is aimed at increasing investments in energy networks and transmission systems, modernizing and expanding existing infrastructure: "Within this framework, countries need to add a 25 million kilometer network globally related to green infrastructure by 2030.
