Yusif Abdullayev: Uzbek company wants to establish production facility in Karabakh

One of the leading companies of Uzbekistan intends to establish a manufacturing facility in the Karabakh region, Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), said at the "Networking and Cooperation Meeting of the Heads of Investment Promotion Agencies of the Turkic World" held in Tashkent, Report informs.

Abdullayev emphasized that the project will be successfully implemented.

Abdullayev also noted that over the past 20 years, Azerbaijan has carried out major reforms in the field of attracting foreign direct investment: "Currently, large-scale construction and reconstruction work is underway in Karabakh. Over the past 4 years, more than $10 billion has been invested in these territories. This is not direct foreign investment, but funds allocated from the state budget. We would like to see more foreign companies in that region. Currently, many companies from Great Britain, Türkiye, Hungary and other countries are operating."
