Over the past 20 years, the number of Azerbaijan's foreign trade partners has reached 200, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations (ASK), Mammad Musayev, told the event themed "State-Business Partnership: The Basis of Sustainable Economy" held in Baku, Report informs.
He noted that in addition to geographic diversification in the field of non-oil and gas exports, successful results were achieved in the diversification of product types: "Supporting the participation of the country's entrepreneurs in international exhibitions and trade fairs, promoting the Made in Azerbaijan brand abroad, and other measures also stimulate the increase of exports. Currently, 11 trade houses, 4 wine houses, and branches of 4 trade houses operate abroad where Azerbaijani products are presented. Improvement of the free competition environment, simplification of administrative procedures, tax incentives and subsidies, financial support for the real sector, and other measures are implemented in Azerbaijan. As a result of this, the scope of business activities in the country expanded during the past period. Azerbaijani businessmen actively participate in projects implemented in foreign countries, invest in various fields, and are known as reliable partners. Currently, the number of people actively engaged in entrepreneurial activity in the country is more than 759,000."
