Azerbaijan and Moldova should use platforms that allow sharing products, best practices and transferring innovative technologies, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov said at the Azerbaijani-Moldovan business forum in Baku, Report informs.
He noted that the Alat Free Economic Zone gives Azerbaijan great opportunities to export its products to third countries.
The minister added that Azerbaijan is currently creating smart villages and smart cities in the territories liberated from occupation: "The sustainable agro-food system of these territories will be based on the development of climate-resilient and community-oriented agriculture. Given this, I invite cooperation, sharing the best technologies and practices. Of course, we cannot imagine trade without roads or other logistics infrastructure. Azerbaijan has been working on this for many years and has created a multifaceted transport network. A new transport map of the region in the Caucasus and along the Caspian Sea has been created. Using our geographical location, we have created a modern infrastructure - a seaport, railway connections, several international airports and highways have been built. These projects connect the East-West and North-South transport corridors."
The minister called on businessmen from Azerbaijan and Moldova to actively participate with national pavilions in international exhibitions organized in both countries and share their latest achievements.
